In this video we will see how to make Rice Kheer at home. Rice Kheer / Indian Rice pudding is an easy to make recipe which is often served as dessert in several Indian restaurants. In this recipe we are going to slowly cook the rice in milk. We can presoak the rice for 30 minutes and this will speedup the cooking process. We can use either basmati rice ( long grain) or the regular rice. Do not add too much sugar to the recipe, rice kheer has to have a mild sweetness it should not be over powering. Crushed cardamom is added for flavoring and saffron strands are used for adding color to the recipe. Nuts are used to add some crunchy texture to the recipe.
