Earlier this week, a Ugandan won the 2021 Junior Queen’s Commonwealth essay writing competition, becoming the first African to win this prestigious contest.


Ethan Charles Mufuma, a pupil at Namilyango Junior Boys School in Mukono District was one of the 48 entrants in this year’s competition by children from Uganda.
