When you get this task from the distribution center in the north, the game clearly wants you to try to cross the marshy area littered with small rivers as well as Mule camps. Not to mention a big BT area. I just went "nope" and took the loooong road back east, down south and then up past the Weather Station because I had build my road up through the mountains already. Not quite reaching Mountain Knot City but way closer than taking the intended path. Worked splendidly. Encountered zero Mules or BTs.
