Ghost Town Ranch - Historic Stage Coach Stop

Описание к видео Ghost Town Ranch - Historic Stage Coach Stop

When you think of the “Old West,” images of Cowboys, stagecoaches, gunfights and rowdy saloons immediately fill your mind. But, for a good reason, that’s how it always seems to be portrayed.
There were also ranchers, who still to this day work mighty hard for their income. This particular ranch was a stagecoach stop in 1865, and due to its popularity, a new larger station was built in 1880.
What makes this particular ranch so special was, that a post office was established in 1888.
With the railroads becoming a more favourable way to travel, the stagecoaches dwindled, and this ranch, like so many others, was of little use. Finally deserted, it now lies forlorn and is a Ghost Town Ranch.
