I just replaced the cap on my Fender Precision '50s, going from .1uF to .047uF, because I found the stock one too "boomy" when the tone knob was closed.
The bass has been recorded through a Gallien-Krueger 700 RBII head with no eq, no effects and no mastering. Just the dry signal from the bass.
With the tone knob open you can barely hear the difference in the video, but as soon as you close it you start hearing that the .047uF cap sounds brighter.
There's actually quite a big difference between the .1uF and the .047uF cap, more than you could tell from the video.
