Quantum Leap was a time travel TV show that featured two recurring characters Dr. Sam Beckett and Admiral Al Callavicci.

Sam had tested his time machine on himself and God or 'Fate' had hijacked the experiment to right wrongs and set time on the correct path.

Sam was played by Scott Bakula and Al was played by Dean Stockwell, fantastic actors and the writing was amazing,

I started watching it because it was about time travel, but I continued watching it because it made me think!
