When 14 year old Chris had cancer he was offered a wish by the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. His wish was to jam with the Canadian rock band, Nickelback. Due to the generosity of the Children's Wish, donors and of course Nickelback, the wish was granted. Chris was forever grateful and supported the Children's Wish until his passing in 2012. He received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal posthumously for his work with the Children's Wish. The wish represented hope and future for Chris. It contributed to the wonderful, generous, socially minded young man that he became. Forever in my heart.
