Dr. Cody McClatchey: Cody McClatchey, MD FACP is the President of the Medical Association of Atlanta (MAA). He is a native of Atlanta and son, first cousin, great-nephew, and great-grandson of physicians. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in history from Duke University, he attended Emory University School of Medicine. He then completed residency in internal medicine at Wake Forest University. He has practiced internal medicine in Atlanta for 25 years. After working at Piedmont Physicians for 15 years, he co-founded Piedmont Internal Medicine, where he currently practices. At Piedmont Healthcare he has served on the Board of Directors of The Piedmont Clinic, Piedmont Medical Care Corporation, and the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation. He was appointed by the former Piedmont Healthcare CEO as a member of his Physician Leadership Cabinet for three years to advise the CEO and Corporate Officers of Piedmont Healthcare on long-term strategy. He currently serves on The Piedmont Clinic Primary Care Clinical Governance Council and chairs its Diabetes Taskforce, whose primary functions are to improve the quality of care across Piedmont’s Clinically Integrated Network. He served on the Governor’s Advisory Council of the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Physicians, chairing the Health and Public Policy Committee for five years. In this role he advised and lobbied at state and federal levels on policy issues affecting public health and medical practice. Cody has served on the Board of Directors of MAA since 2013, and on its Executive Committee since 2022. He has represented MAA at the Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) House of Delegates since 2013. He graduated in the third class of the MAG Georgia Physician Leadership Academy and has served on the MAG Board of Directors since 2018. Cody’s professional life has been focused on all areas that affect patient care, including practicing medicine full time, advocacy at state and federal levels, and involvement at his affiliated community hospitals. Under Cody’s leadership, MAA will further its efforts to increase membership, improve the quality of and access to care for all Georgians, and improve the practice environment for physicians.

Dr. Christopher McAdams: Christopher McAdams, MD is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist specializing in breast cancer. He is a former faculty member of Emory University School of Medicine and now owns and manages his own business focusing on the delivery of excellent breast care to patients in underserved and rural communities. He also provides expert witness/medicolegal consultations. Dr. McAdams is an alumnus of the prestigious Rutherford-Lavanty Fellowship in Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs at the American College of Radiology and the Georgia Physicians Leadership Academy (GPLA). He dedicates a large portion of his time in grassroots advocacy efforts as well as with engaging state legislators and Congress on critical patient access, cancer care, the integrity of the physician-patient relationship and with the emerging landscape of providing healthcare alongside AI. Dr. McAdams serves on the board of the Medical Association of Atlanta, the Medical Association of Georgia, the federal radiologic political action committee (RADPAC) as well as the American College of Radiology's chief legislative body, the Council Steering Committee. In the American Medical Association's House of Delegates, Dr. McAdams serves as an alternate delegate representing radiology as well as Georgia's physicians.
