Ferozshah Tughlaq succeeded Muhammad Bin Tughlaq as the Sultan of Delhi in mid 14th century. Feroz Shah was remarkably different from his cousin Muhammad Bin and reversed several of his decision, which were considered anti-people. Besides, he is also known as one of the finest builder and conservator. Ferozshah Kotla fort, Delhi’s first city on the banks of river Yamuna was commissioned by him. His wazirs also built several gardens, markets, hospitals and mosques across the city. The near century long Tughlaq dynasty rule finally went into decline after raids by Timur Lang, which gave way to Sayyid and Lodi dynasty rule in Delhi.
