Preserving Boxwood and Hydrangeas

Описание к видео Preserving Boxwood and Hydrangeas

Join me to see how I preserve boxwood and create a preserved boxwood topriary. I also share how I collect dried hydrangea flowers at peak color while making sure they still bloom next year.

Directions for Preserving Boxwood Cuttings
• 1 tsp. Absorbit Stem Dye Holiday Green, dissolved in ½ cup warm water
In a clear container, mix:
• 6 oz. Glycerin, dissolved in 2 cups warm water
Combine dye and glycerin solutions with:
• /2 tsp. Citric Acid, Floralife, or Codex Hydrated Lime
Take boxwood cuttings and smash cut ends with a hammer. Place the boxwood cutting with the smashed ends down in the glycerin dye solution. Make sure ends are in the solution. Leave for 2 – 3 weeks, checking periodically to make sure the ends are in the solution.
