About the book
A single night of frenzy changes the destinies of two friends, Nishant and Mudassir, forever. While Nishant lands in a refugee camp in Jammu, Mudassir ends up devastated on his friend’s forced exit. Fighting against his doom Nishant comes out of his misery and reaches the US while Mudassir’s tryst with the circumstances in Kashmir lands him in Pakistan. Fate has to bring them together again only to be caught in a death trap of deceit and treachery.

About the author
Prashant Pandita is a fun loving guy. He is an engineer by training but a writer at heart. When not making sales plans, he is crafting stories, believing that every face holds a story worth telling.

Though not as perfect as his children may think, he is also not as clumsy as his wife makes him out to be - rather, somewhere in between the two perceptions, perhaps leaning more towards his wife's assessment.

In his leisure hours, he loves to spend time sipping tea and reading books. He is a keen observer of life, and what amazes him most is the "certainty of uncertainty" that pervades the human experience.

He firmly believes that his being in Maharashtra is by cosmic design. Since he could not settle in the land of Lord Shiva, he feels that Lord Ganesha, Shiva's son, has given him refuge in his own land and has only pampered him as a gracious host.

An engineer by world standards but a writer at heart, this multifaceted individual sees stories in every face and finds solace in the simple pleasures of life. His philosophical bent and sense of spiritual connection to the land he inhabits speak to the depth of his character.

The Jehlum Boys is Prashant's debut fiction novel.
