This town of 46 thousand people is Martina Franca and it is located near towns we have recently looked at such as Ostuni, and is perfectly situated for exploring the wider Puglia region. Just a short drive away, you'll find the enchanting trulli houses of Alberobello, the stunning beaches of the Adriatic and Ionian coasts, and about 50 miles away is the vibrant town of Lecce, known as the Florence of. the south. Martina Franca provides stunning Baroque architecture, white washed buildings highlighted by a beautiful historic center, the Palazzo Ducale and its impressive frescoes and elegant architecture, and of course great Italian restaurants that we will feature in detail in this video. Martina Franca offers the ability to retire in Italy for cheap while also enjoying a beautiful culture.
