Hey there. "Songs from the Shed" is a series of bare-bones recordings of songs I want to share, but don't have the time to produce professionally. I hope that, despite the imperfections of each performance, you can hear the heart behind each song.

"As I Lay My Head" happened late one night when I was having trouble falling asleep. It's about the peace I experience when I focus on the presence of the Lord instead of any number of other things that could bring anxiety. Maybe you can relate, and if you can, I hope this song is encouraging to you. Musically, it's inspired by Jess Ray, Josh Garrels, and Styx.
