Samal Blak shares his inspiration and reasoning behind the set design for Till the Stars Come Down.

Our smash-hit production of Till the Stars Come Down is a ‘West End triumph’ (Telegraph) – now playing a strictly limited summer season until 27 September.

This ‘sharply comic and deeply touching drama’ (Broadway World) follows a tight-knit family gathering on a scorching summer’s day to celebrate the wedding of Sylvia and Marek. But as the drinks flow and the dancing begins, love is tested, loyalties are stretched, and long-held secrets are revealed.

Hailed as ‘a wedding you’ll never forget — and a play you’ll never stop thinking about’ (Theatre Weekly), this Olivier-nominated ‘critical smash’ (WhatsOnStage) celebrates and confronts what it really means to be a family.

Written by Beth Steel (The House of Shades) and directed by Bijan Sheibani (Barber Shop Chronicles).
