Yesterday, Azure Functions added public preview support for Service Bus SDK type bindings in Node.js function apps. Previously, Node.js developers had to work with simplified binding models when integrating Service Bus with Azure Functions, limiting access to advanced messaging features. Now, JavaScript and TypeScript function apps can interact with a ServiceBusMessageContext type offering enhanced messaging functionality including session handling, message settlement, and advanced metadata access. Azure Functions is a serverless compute service that enables developers to run event-triggered code without managing infrastructure, supporting automatic scaling and pay-per-execution pricing.

Yesterday, Azure Cosmos DB added public preview support for the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Agent. Previously, diagnosing and resolving issues in Cosmos DB workloads required manually correlating client-side telemetry with server-side diagnostics across multiple tools. Now, the Cosmos DB SRE Agent combines these signals to provide deeper visibility into database health and performance, identifying problems faster while delivering tailored recommendations for performance optimization, security improvements, and cost savings. Azure Cosmos DB is a fully managed, globally distributed NoSQL and relational database service that offers single-digit millisecond latency, automatic scaling, and multi-region replication for mission-critical applications.
