CataractCoach 1324: even smaller incision MSICS cataract surgery

Описание к видео CataractCoach 1324: even smaller incision MSICS cataract surgery

In this video our guest surgeon bisects the nucleus in the anterior chamber before manually extracting each half, thus allowing for a smaller incision. The beauty of this surgery is that it is very low cost. No phaco machine is needed and even the cortex is removed with a Simcoe instead of an I/A probe. The case is efficient and it safely restores excellent vision to this patient who was functionally blind from the cataract. I am impressed with the low cost method that is used to score and the bisect the nucleus -- an instrument that costs just a few cents!
