India has provided a $100 million defense credit line and is assisting Mauritius in developing Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Projects such as the Metro Express Project, Social Housing Project, hospitals, and COVID-19 vaccine aid have improved the lives of the people in Mauritius. India has also helped Mauritius with maritime surveillance to prevent piracy and illegal fishing. Additionally, with India's support, a naval dockyard has been constructed in Mauritius, and infrastructure development has taken place on the Agalega Islands.
