Guest Speaker Ep. 114: Malik Elijah | Turntable Teachers Podcast

On Episode 114 of the Guest Speaker Series, hip-hop artist Malik Elijah joins the show! Malik has seen a steady rise in popularity both in Massachusetts and nationally, especially from his latest project ‘Vintage Nostalgia’ which features the likes of Latrell James, Cousin Stizz, mynameisntjmack, & Kinrose and is available now on all DSPs.

Malik discusses his journey of growing up in PG County, Maryland, before he made his way to New England in pursuit of a degree in audio engineering. Malik ended up staying out here permanently, where he pivoted to focusing on a solo music career, taking what he learned from audio engineering and applying it to his craft. Malik also discusses the numerous impressive shows he’s been a part of, including opening for the likes of EARTHGANG, Freddie Gibbs, and most recently being on the lineup for Treefort Music Fest in Boise, Idaho.

Malik also shares his love for anime, making waffles from scratch, and rollercoasters, as well as what his ideal amusement park would look like, and so much more.
