How to Calibrate Sartorius Quintix Balance Internal & External Calibration

Описание к видео How to Calibrate Sartorius Quintix Balance Internal & External Calibration

In this video we are going to calibrate the Quintix1102-1S precision laboratory balance. We are Precision Weighing Balances an Authorized Sartorius Distributor and you can purchase the full line of Sartorius Quintix laboratory balances at either one of our websites https://www.balances.com/ or https://scaleman.com/

Balance calibration is crucial in laboratory and industrial applications where high accuracy is a must. Calibration for weighing devices is typically a requirement for most companies' quality program such as ISO, GLP, GMP, USP, etc and/or other quality management and equipment qualification.

Balance calibration can either be performed manually or automatically with the Quintix balances. During manual calibration a 1 kilogram external calibration weight in required. Automatic calibration, on the other hand, relies on the Quintix internal calibration weight. The internal calibration features found with the Sartorius Quintix and Secura balances definitely adds convenience and saves time.

During calibration, the calibration weight (each model requires a specific external calibration weight - refer to manual in the "accessories section" which tell which external weight is required) is used to determine how much the displayed value deviates from the actual measurement value. This deviation is compared against a preset target value. The subsequent adjustment corrects this deviation or reduces the permissible error limits.

In Secura, Quintix and Practum balances, calibration and adjustment are combined as one process. The balance is automatically adjusted after each calibration.

Secura & Quintix have isoCAL. The balance will automatically perform internal calibration when the balance's displayed is turned on. You should have your balance plugged in for at least 30 minutes. Once the balance is plugged in it is in "stand by" model and the electronics are powered.

IsoCAL also automatically perform internal calibration based on time or temperature, and for Secura each time the balance is leveled.IsoCAL can be disabled.

Performing external or manual calibration you should have the calibration weight(s) re-calibrated by a third-party service like Troemner at least once a year. This is because the calibration mass never stays the same with repeated use; normal wear, fingerprints, scratches, and corrosion by contaminants in the atmosphere all contribute to this change.

Quintix balances save calibration reports about the most recent calibration procedures, including deviations identified, can be viewed and output to a PC or Sartorius lab printer.

A maximum of 99 entries are saved per day. Calibration reports are deleted after 30 days.
