One of the things that shocked me when I visited the historical temples in Cambodia were the headless idols there. All these happened because of communist extremists and inter-religious civil strife. I wonder how would they wanted to destroy these beautiful and historically important structures in such a brutal way. It is the poetic justice of history that all of them later became a source of tourism income for that country.
