LOGIC PRO X - Drum Replacement Part 2

Описание к видео LOGIC PRO X - Drum Replacement Part 2

Following on from last week's session on Drum Replacement, we're looking at another way in which converting detected audio transients into MIDI can be helpful - this time to use your natural sense of groove to build drums by clapping patterns into a microphone. Unlike entering MIDI notes into a Pattern Sequencer or into a grid-like MIDI region, by recording audio, you're recording your own sense of groove. And by converting that sense of groove into MIDI, you're preserving your own natural 'feel' within your beat patterns. Jono's recording a four-bar pattern for Kick, Snare and Hats by clapping each of these parts in one at a time, before converting each to MIDI. He can then use MIDI tools such as Velocity offsets and Quantization to tighten things up if necessary. If you're a drummer, this approach to beat creation might particularly appeal.
