After the emotional response from the trailer release of Goldfish, Splendid Films has now announced the release of the film’s evocative soundtrack from the heart-warming film. The soulful music of the film adds to the overall aura created by the director amalgamating intense drama syncing with deep emotions.
The film's music had its humble beginnings - with just one song. The film's protagonist - Sadhna (Deepti Naval) - had recorded a Thumri in her younger days and with an early onset of dementia, finds a connection with her past only through music.

Tapas Relia (composer) and Pushan Kripalani (screenwriter) both had a realisation that the film needs more music pieces to justify the protoganist's love for music. With Kausar Munir having shared lyrical ideas that went well with the narrative, Tapas began culmination his ideas for further songs. Wanting to not keep it instrumental, he roped in the singers - Papon, Madhubani Bagchi, Ustad Rashid Khan, Pratibha Singh Baghel, and Om Bongane.

Bachpan Ki Galiyan is a beautifully written Thumri that features Sarangi from Ustad Dilshad Khan with Prasad Padhye adding layers of rhythm through the Tabla. Taiy Nahi Kiya Abhi sung be Papon has lyrics that encapsulate the indecisive relationship between the characters of mother and daughter in the film. "Accompanied by one of the finest Sitar exponents, Purbayan Chaterjee, the sitar serves the purpose of an additional voice, rather than an instrument", says Tapas about the song.

‘Goldfish,’ a tapestry of forgiveness, love, and identity, comes alive not only through its captivating narrative but also through the evocative melodies that will grace the sense of the audience. This collaboration, a fusion of cinematic brilliance and melodic artistry promises to ignite the spirit of audiences with an excitement that will elevate them to a next-level experience.

The magical music album for Goldfish is all set to release on August 19th 2023. The film Goldfish will release across theatres in India on August 25th 2023.
