You know what they say... the only sound better than an analog synthesizer is multiple analog synthesizers! Please enjoy this cosmic improvisation on two Moogs and an old Crumar Orchestrator, played through an Alesis Quadraverb into a Roland RE-301 Chorus Echo. The looping is created with a Boss DD7. The video audio has been muted and you are hearing the direct line signal of the synths through a Motu 828 interface into Logic. No EQ'ing, multi-tracking, post production or mixing at all; you're hearing it exactly how it sounded in the room while I was playing. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the room mics were turned on in the background, so you can still hear me clicking the looper and making other noises throughout. But, it kind of helps to illustrate how and when the looping is working. Anyway, there's plenty of wrong notes and yes, these melodies are extremely basic, but it's still pretty amazing the sort of soundscapes you can build with these machines using only simple motifs and a few delays.
