Part 1 of Testing my Idea on a Simpler extraction

Описание к видео Part 1 of Testing my Idea on a Simpler extraction

So I've decided to test my idea on using only vinegar, wash soda, and water to extract cactus rather than using solvents like xylene or ethyl acetate.
This is still just an idea and needs testing but shows promise so far.
The idea is to extract the cactus with water pulls and vinegar. Then reduce to a few hundred mL but not so much that it becomes syrupy. Check the ph if 4.4 or under. IDK if this is needed but that is the protonated ph of the molecule. Allow the tea to settle for a day or two in the fridge to precipitate pectin and other impurities before proceeding. Filter and then slowly add sodium carbonate. Do not rush and overshoot the ph you want a ph around 7-7.4 Much higher the molecule will start to freebase slightly reducing the yield. After done allow the solution to settle in the fridge for a few days. If nothing precipitates add sodium chloride to help POSSIBLY reduce solubility and last ditch method add alcohol to reduce even more. I won't add alcohol since I'll want to salvage this and just add lye and pull with xylene.

I've decided to use a relatively small cactus since this is still proof of concept idea. In the future others or even I can test using larger scale.
