► Match your pocket square to your outfit – not your outfit to your pocket square.
► Each piece in your look should complement but not match perfectly.
► Choose only 1 bold piece per outfit – wear a bold pocket square with a subdued tie or bow tie.
► Solid colours are always ‘safe’ and work well in formal situations.
► Prints and patterns are typically more casual but can be dressed up for formal wear.
