Donald Trump has claimed the Nobel Peace Prize 2025 winner, Maria Corina Machado, called and told him he “really deserved” the honour.

During a press conference in the Oval Office on Friday, October 10, announcing new reduced drug costs stemming from a deal with UK based pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, Trump was asked how he felt about the Nobel Prize announcement, to which the president said he's happy because he has "saved millions of lives".
