Touring Sound Engineer Day in the Life Vlog 07 // Melbourne, Australia

Episode 7 takes us to Melbourne for the biggest show of the tour at The Forum, and it’s an absolute banger! We start the day with an early flight, but the real highlight is our stop at Sir Charles for what we call the best breakfast in the world. We take some band members and crew who haven’t been before so they can experience the insane eggs benedict that we swear is the best you’ll ever have. If you're ever in Melbourne, it's a must!

After breakfast, we head to the venue to load in and get everything ready for the show. This time, we’ve got extra lights and pyro in the setup, so we need to arrive extra early to make sure everything works smoothly before soundcheck. There’s always that little bit of extra tension when you’re dealing with pyro, but it all comes together in the end!
Melbourne is one of my favourite cities on the planet, so it’s always great to be here, especially to catch up with some good friends before the show. And this one? Hands down my favourite show of the whole tour! The crowd was incredible, the venue is stunning inside, and the vibe was just perfect.

After the show, we pack down the gear, separate our fly gear from the hired backline, and prep for our flight the next day. This is the last show in Australia before we head off to Indonesia the following morning.

To wrap up a successful Australian leg of the tour, we celebrate with drinks and good times with the promoter and some close friends. It’s been an amazing ride so far, and we’re not done yet!
