Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima Road Shower. Four gallon, portable solar shower for roof racks. This is a four gallon portable water tank that's gonna provide access to pressurized water while you're out adventuring. So whether you've been out surfing or riding your bike on the trails or just out hiking, whatever the case may be this is gonna be a great option for showering off the dust, mud or salt before you get back into your vehicles. It's gonna make it more comfortable for you to travel back.

This is going to also work to help clean off your gear if you're needing to spray down your surfboards or your muddy bikes, and it can also work to help clean your dishes at the campsite. So lots of different options or reasons that you would want some pressurized water. As you can see, this is a nice black tank so it is gonna absorb sunlight to help heat the water throughout the day. So gives you a little bit warmer temperatures depending on how long you've had it out, how full it is, that sort of thing. They do include this stick on LCD thermometer.

That's going to display the water temperature from 61 degrees Fahrenheit all the way up to 118 degrees Fahrenheit. So you've got a pretty good idea of how warm the water is gonna be. We do have dual ports so you can see we've got our hose hooked up on this side here, but then on the other side we'll have that same kind of port so we can switch it from one side to the other depending on what's gonna give us the best access and the way we have it set up. So, can use it from either end of the tank. Now this hose is gonna be about 55 inches long.

So once we pull it off our clips here we'll have plenty of room to direct it towards our bikes or spray it on ourselves. We've got the spray nozzle here. It's adjustable so we can get the spraying that we need whether we're spraying off our gear or taking a shower ourselves. There is also shower heads available for a hands free type shower. So, those are sold separately.

You can find them here at etrailer.com using the part number that you see on the screen there. So if you are wanting to use it more exclusively as a shower for yourself, you can pick that up. And that will give you two different options of length so that you can adjust it to where you need it to be. So, couple different options there. This will probably then serve more as just cleaning off your gear. It is gonna be pretty easy to switch out. We do have the quick connect fitting on this end so we just push in and it will pull out so we can very easily switch out the attachments. And we've got our control here to let water flow or to turn it off. And to fill this up you've got a couple different options. You can just hook up your garden hose here to fill this up and pressurize it at the same time. Alternatively, you can remove the fill port here. Just pour in your water from a bucket or whatever your source may be. And then you've got your Trader air valve here that will allow you to use a bike pump, tire pump or electric pump to pressurize the tank there. This can be pressurized up to 55 PSI. So we'll give you plenty of pressure there. As far as getting this mounted, they do include the mounting brackets here that will allow you to adjust those on the bottom or on the back side here. You can see we've got that same kind of groove system. So these will clamp onto most crossbars including your round, square, arrow, elliptical and most factory crossbars with a spread from 24 inches to 50 inches. The tank itself only weighs about 20 pounds, 19 and a half or so, but when you have it filled with water it's gonna be up to 53 pounds. So of course you wanna make sure that that's not going to be too much with your other gear on your roof rack. They do include this same key system that's going to lock the tank to your roof rack, make sure that no one can come along and pick off with it. As far as our dimensions go, we're right at 55 inches long. When I measured the width, I measured it right at six and a 1/4 of an inch wide. And then our height for just the tank itself is gonna be about four and 3/4 of an inch. Now of course you are gonna have a couple valves on the ends and that sort of thing. And that gives you an idea of what the tank is itself. Depending on your attachments you'll need a little bit more room. This is constructed of a welded aluminum with this black powder coat finish that's gonna absorb that sunlight. So it is gonna be ve
