Super Mario Land DX (Full Color): World 4: Chai Kingdom (Final Boss & Ending)

Описание к видео Super Mario Land DX (Full Color): World 4: Chai Kingdom (Final Boss & Ending)

Chai Kingdom is the last of the four Sarasaland kingdoms Mario must venture through. It's all based on Ancient China. Heck, the name is just the first syllable, and it's also the most Chinese theme I've ever heard with an 8-bit soundfont.

Quite a few particular enemies unique in this World, but the most eyecatching to me are the jiang-shi enemies called Pionpi. They can be killed with Superballs, but if you stomp on them, they'll just be stunned for a few seconds before moving again. They ARE undead Chinese zombies, after all.
----------

In this video, the final level of this game, World 4-3, takes place high in the sky where Mario uses his Sky Pop airplane to shoot down any airborne enemies, especially those flying Chickens. This level pretty much plays the exact same way as the underwater level of World 2-3 with the Marine Pop, including the auto-scrolling and the SMB1 theme-esque music.
----------

The boss of World 4 is a giant cloud called Biokinton. All it does is fly around the area shooting more Chickens at you. Even after you manage to beat it, you're not finished, yet!

Because then you have to face the REAL final boss of this game, the enemy Mario was hunting down this entire time: Tatanga!

This alien invader will use his robot ship, Pagosu, to shoot energy eggs that split into threes! These eggs can be destroyed, but you're better off just dodging them as much as you can. Remember that you can only take two whole hits like anywhere else!
----------

Once you managed, VERY managed, to hit Tatanga and his ship enough times, they will finally be no more, and Mario will finally get to meet the REAL Princess Daisy for the first time in their lives.

With the Princess of Sarasaland found in one piece, Mario takes her back to her castle...

And then from then on invite her to the Mushroom Kingdom for all sorts of festivities: Parties, kart-racing, tennis. You name it! Daisy becomes quite a mainstay from this point on, forming a friendship with Princess Peach, and forming a relationship with Mario's brother Luigi!

But who knows when she'll ever have a platforming appearance again...?
----------

After beating this game, you can play through it again in its own Hard Mode. However, compared to Kirby's Dream Land's take on this 3 years later, this isn't as impressive to go through, as it just makes more enemies spawn on levels; not even changing their appearances. If you do beat THAT, though, you'll be able to select any level you want.

But ALL of this has to be done without turning off your Game Boy AT ALL, or you start everything back over again. I've decided to just ignore this.

So thanks for watching this very short playthrough of a game that originally never had a full color boost! Its sequel has also gotten this treatment AND MORE!
