In this episode, we are going to show you another bend called the Hunter’s Bend (also called Rigger’s Bend). It is similar to the Zeppelin Bend is formed by two interlocked Overhand Knots.

Here is how to tie Hunter’s Bend:
Step #1. Form a bight in each rope
Step #2. Thread the other end through form to interlocking bights
Step #3. With one end, tie an overhand knot around the others bight
Step #4. Do the same with the other end and make sure the working ends are side by side and exit under the other line
Step #5. Finally, tighten the knot

The Zeppelin Bend and Hunter’s Bend are very similar to each other. The main difference is that the Zeppelin Bend uses an overhand and underhand knot while the Hunter’s Bend uses two overhand knots.

Compared to the Zeppelin Bend, the Hunter’s Bend is easier to tie, but it is not as secure and jams more often.
