Maharashtra: BJP Offered RajyaSabha Seat To Ajit Pawar Faction? Speculations Intensify! | Capital TV

After the dispute with Ajit Pawar's NCP over the post of cabinet minister in the Union Cabinet, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is now engaged in damage control. Sources say that the BJP is trying to persuade the Ajit Pawar faction by offering a Rajya Sabha seat from its quota. Ajit Pawar NCP is not happy with the party leader not being included in the newly formed Union Cabinet. Although NCP leader Praful Patel was offered Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the cabinet, the party rejected the offer citing Patel's seniority and insisted on being given a place in the cabinet. Praful Patel clarified that it was not appropriate for him to take the post of Minister of State after serving as a minister in the cabinet.
