Scam alert: NRI investor argues with SQUARE YARDS & GODREJ PROPERTIES guys about 10:90 payment plan

Squareyards sales guy told NRI Srijith Nair that under 10:90 payment plan, he could resell the booked flat 18 months after paying 10% booking amount. Attracted by the possibility of being allowed to sell an under-construction property, Shrijith invested 5 percent booking amount (Rs 2.9 lakh) and was willing to commit about Rs 8 lakh and hoped to see quick returns on his investment. However, he was later disillusioned when he learned that there were many other terms and conditions.

Shrijith was later pacified by the Squareyards person, but it is questionable whether the information given to him during this con-call was accurate. Two months on, he realized that the Godrej Properties team is not willing to give him the same information on email.
