Alpine Expedition in 4th Century Roman Gear.

Описание к видео Alpine Expedition in 4th Century Roman Gear.

Here is the video summary of our expedition into the Alps of Noricum Mediterraneum in February 2020. We scaled the 2310m high Falkert and tested our 4th century winter gear with open shoes. The gear worked flawlessly and we did not suffer any disadvantages, except for Olivers non-hobnailed shoes being at times slippery. Even with open, low-cut, unnailed shoes (Portchester find), it was possible to achieve two consecutive ascends.

I hope this piece of living-history scenery brings you a bit of joy.
Please don't hesitate to share, if you think it could bring also a little joy to other isolated reenactors around the globe. 🙂
Vale!
