Why is the new Audiobus 3 update exciting for anyone who uses midi, and owns an iOS device?

This video gives some basic explanation of Audiobus 3, with some setup tips for connecting this to an Elektron Digitakt (however these concepts should work with any device that outputs midi clock over usb), and a short electronic music example of my workflow at the end.

So what do you think ? Is this legitimately exciting, or just meh?
