Eminem released "Space Bound" quite a while ago, but the deep meaning of these lyrics is still interesting, particularly in how they might connect to a classic 1930's short story--"A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner. The song is about losing the perfect girl that you know you'll never get back, and the story shows a way to keep that significant other--a way that Eminem takes of the opposite strategy of.

Both song and story are very interesting, and I think you're going to enjoy my explanation/discussion. (If you want to hear the part about "A Rose for Emily," skip further to the end.)
