Scillonian delayed for 'safety and comfort' of passengers due to rough seas

The departure of the ferry from Penzance to Isles of Scilly was delayed by three hours today (Wednesday, September 20) in an attempt to avoid the worst of high winds and rough seas. Scillonian III was originally scheduled to make the crossing at 9am, but with stormy conditions forecast in the morning, the departure was put back until midday.
