Usual steps of cerebral aneurysm coil embolization
1. Patient preparation
1. Antiplatelet premedication
2. Under general or local anesthesia
2. Arterial access
1. Femoral artery or radial artery approach
2. Guiding catheter placement
3. Microcatheter insertion
1. Microcatheter tip (steam) shaping
2. Microcatheter delivery
4. Detachable coil delivery and packing
1. Frame or basket formation
2. Sac filling (usually multiple coils)
3. Finish coiling
5. Hemostasis
