The first time my wife made the dish, I was floored and I soon realised that this was one of those easy lockdown recipes that I should be sharing with you all. How to make tawa egg fry you ask? Most of the ingredients used to make these easy lockdown recipes are available at every essentials only stores.

Tawa Egg Fry or अंडा तवा फ्राइ Full Recipe

Step One - Boil The Eggs. Cut each egg into two halves.
Step Two - Roast cinnamon stick, cloves, black pepper, khaskhas, jeera and sabut dhaniya for two minutes. Put these spices into a mixer. Don't mix yet.
Step Three - Heat the pan. Use some ghee and roast onions until golden brown.
Step Four - Roast ground coconut until golden brown. Put 3/4th of the roasted coconut into the same mixer, leave 1/4th to use later.
Step Five - Add everything into a mixer. Add, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, tamarind and water. Now mix it all in the mixer until a fine paste is formed.
Step Six - Heat a pan, add oil and jeera and steadily place the boiled eggs on the pan. Add, pepper, turmeric, red chilli powder and coriander on the eggs. Cook both sides of the eggs and take the eggs out of the pan.
Step Seven - Again heat a pan, use less oil and add mustard seeds to it. Then add raw onions and garlic into the pan. Add the fine paste you prepared earlier into the pan. Mix well and cook for two minutes.
Step Eight - Add the leftover ground coconut and some curry leaves. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step Nine - Add a cup of water into the pan and leave to cook for 5-7 minutes. Your gravy for अंडा तवा फ्राइ is ready.
Step Ten - Place the cooked eggs into the gravy. Smear some gravy on the eggs and finally garnish with coriander. Your tastiest Egg recipe is ready to serve.
