Disproportionate assets case filed against Smt. Merkala Rajani, Tehsildar and Joint Sub-Registrar Jimmy Kunta Mandal, Karimnagar District
A case of disproportionate assets from known sources of income was registered against Smt. Markla Rajani, Tehsildar and Joint Sub-Registrar Jimmy Kunta Mandal, Karimnagar District as he has acquired assets by indulging in corrupt practices and dubious practices during his service.
As this is an offense punishable u/Sec 13 (2) r/w 13(1) (e) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 (as amended in 2018), preliminary search on 13.03.2024 of his Ghar Kee and five other different places belonging to his relatives, associates and benami houses. During search, property documents of open plots and agricultural lands were recovered ie 7 acres of agricultural land W/R. 55,22,630/-, 22 open plot documents W/Rs. 21,17,700/- Further, documents were found of advance payment agreements for purchase of three properties of W/Rs. 50 lakhs in his name and the names of his family members. The market price is expected to be much higher than the official price. Further, net cash of Rs.1,51,540/-, bank balance amount of Rs.25,73,525/-, gold ornaments weighing 1462.5 grams W/Rs. 10,27,383/- household goods W/Rs 9,39,100/-, vehicles W/Rs 31,06,000/- received. Total assets are estimated at around Rs. 3,20,16,915/- (in words: three crore, two lakh, sixteen thousand, nine hundred and fifteen rupees). Further verification of additional assets is ongoing.
AO will be arrested and produced before Hon'ble Prl. special
Judge of SPE and ACB Cases Court at Karimnagar.
