The Twin Paps of Strathblane

Описание к видео The Twin Paps of Strathblane

Originally intended as a walk from Blanefield to Killearn via the Strathblane Hills, but I rather foolishly carried out an ascent to Slackdhu via the south-west-facing crag. This error of judgement took so much out of me that the walk was abandoned, and I returned to Blanefield via the Pipe Track.
That said, in many ways the mission was accomplished in that I did reach the top of Slackdhu, and did find the old stone marker that once formed the boundary between the estates of Duntreath and Ballewan. I was also able to look down on the twin paps of Strathblane: Dungoyne and Dumfoyn, and see all over this part of Scotland, from the rounded top of Conic Hill to Loch Lomond and the Arrochar Alps. A walk with awesome views.
A word of caution: do not under any circumstances attempt to follow the route depicted in this video, as it is way too dangerous.
