The Ultimate Ford Ranger? (Ford Ranger Platinum 2023 Review)

We test the new T6.2 Ford Ranger Platinum that blends luxury appointments with turbo diesel V6 power to create the best allrounder of the current 2023 ute lineup.

The Platinum joined the Ranger fold for MY23.5 in a Ford Australia lineup offering no less than 25 different variants. This luxury workhorse version is powered by the in-demand 3.0L V6 turbo diesel and sits near the top of the Ranger tree alongside the 2.0-litre biturbo diesel Wildtrak X and the Raptor, which fits a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol six.

The Ford Ranger competes with the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT-50, Isuzu D-Max, Volkswagen Amarok and other B-segment utes in Australia.
