Replacing bearings in a brushless motor....the easy way.

Описание к видео Replacing bearings in a brushless motor....the easy way.

Here I show you how to replace bearings in your brushless motors with a few common tools you may already have. I used ZMX V3s as an example, but the same technique applies to almost all brushless motors.

Tools Needed:

Needle nosed pliers/ snap ring pliers (removal of c-clip)
Hammer
Pin Punches (1/16" and 3/16")
22mm 12 point socket (3/8" or 1/2 drive" work fine)
3mm bolt roughy 25-30mm in length w/ nut and washer
2 old bearings (after you remove first set)
Screwdriver or allen key and wrench (for 3mm bolt and nut)
high speed bearing oil

The model number for bearings in the 22xx series is 693ZZ (3x4x8)
For 1306 and 1407 motors they are model # MR52ZZ (2x5x2.5)

Bearings range in price from .25 cents up to about $30 a bearing in the 693zz size, depending on type of material, tolerances and manufacturers. I like to find decent (non-chinese) 52100 chrome steel bearings to use, as they are a bit stronger than 440C stainless steel and they run quieter too. If your quadcopter, wing, heli, whatever is expected to see wet conditions often, only then would stainless steel would be recommended.

Hope this helps you guys and thanks for watching. :)
