The Cryptid Legends of Manitoba, Canada - Canada Cryptids

In this video I present 4 major cryptid legends from within the Canadian prairie province of Manitoba. These types of creatures are most strongly associated with the Pacific Northwest and Great Lakes regions of Canada, but the prairie region of the country has a surprising amount of cryptid sightings and legends. Manitoba itself has some fairly prominent legends as part of it's folklore. Cryptids are creatures/beings whose existence has not been proven, and these creatures make up an interesting part of the folklore/mythology of a given area.

There have been many strange creatures reportedly seen in Manitoba, and I cover 4 of them in this video:
1- Sasquatch/Bigfoot
2 - Manipogo
3- Giant Beavers
4- Winnipogo

There are other types of creatures reportedly spotted in the province and I mention those briefly as well.

A great resource on this topic is the 2015 book "Strange Creatures Seldom Seen" by John Warms, and Manitoba's very own Chris Rutkowski is a wealth of information on the strange and paranormal throughout Canada.
