In our second installment of Manga Vs Movie, we're taking a look at debatably the worst manga adaptation of all time...
Dragonball Evolution!
But it doesn't stop there, because we're also going to be comparing the two unofficial Dragon Ball live actions as well. Those two films being Dragon Ball: Ssawora Son Goku, Igyeora Son Goku, and Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins.

The goal of this series is figuring out which manga adaptations are worth watching, and which you should avoid. By seeing how they match up to the source material.
To better illustrate this, I've incorporated a rating system which I'll bring up at the end of each video.

The rating system is out of 10. which will mainly be in two categories based on how the adaptation matches up to the source material.

3 points for adapting the characters correctly, as getting the characters right is one of, if not the most important part of any adaptation. This goes for the main characters, side characters, and the antagonists if there are any.

3 points for how the story relates to the source material. The story does not have to be a perfect match by any means, As I do understand writers need to condense what is usually a long and drawn out concept into only a few hours, however, I am looking for at least a few similar elements of the original plot within the film. I'm also looking to see if the story, in particular, is accessible to both fans of the manga, and casual viewers alike.

And finally 4 points for how it holds up as both a film and as an adaptation. As we could very well be looking at a very good film, but just not a good adaptation from the original source material.

There will obviously be many factors that decide my final verdict on these points, but I feel this way we can accurately rank these films as we cover more throughout the series.
