It is obvious that giving to charity can do a lot of good in the world. But how can we do the most good? What are the questions we need to ask ourselves before choosing a cause or a specific charity to donate to? This talk presents the importance of evidence-based decision making in choosing the way we decide to donate our money. It also showcases a few of the leading charities and charity evaluators around the world and in Israel specifically.

The talk was given by Sella Nevo to Google employees in the 2019 Google Giving Week.

Sella is the head of the Israeli branch of Effective Altruism and the lead of Google Flood Forecasting Initiative, aimed at providing scalable high-accuracy high-resolution flood forecasts and warnings where it matters most.
