This was the third ODI of India vs Pakistan 2005 6 match ODI series at Jamshedpur where Pakistan beat India by 106 runs and won the first ODI of the series.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Pakistan scored 319-9 in 50 overs.
Salman Butt played a GEM innings of 101 runs and shaped the whole Pakistani innings and Shoaib Malik also batted well for his 75 runs.
Ashish Nehra picked up 3 wickets for India.
In reply India were all out for just 213 runs in 41.4 overs.
Irfan Pathan was top scorer among them and he scored 64 runs but he got no support from the other end.
Naved-ul-Hasan bowled superbly for Pakistan and picked up 6 wickets.
Pakistan won the match.
Naved-ul-Hasan was announced Man of the Match.
