This video features improvisation on Robert Glasper's famous chart, "Rise and Shine", featuring a new music visualiser. The visualiser features a deep music visualiser for the background, paired with AI upscalers, and "Note stream" displays, all implemented on Python. It has been coded such that each note closely matches my synaesthetic associations: the overall colour palette is then synthesised through determining the average colour of all the notes on screen, as well as on neighbouring frames, to enable smooth transitions. Thus, as the music changes to another key, the colour palatte changes on screen, matching my colour associations with that specific key. The AI visualiser has also been setup such that it matches the textual and colour associations with the music, as well as react to note onsets (this project was of great inspiration for the AI background: https://github.com/msieg/deep-music-v...)
