Mic Shootout: 10 Dynamic Microphones On Upright Bass - SM57, SM7, RE20, M201, MD421, MD441 and more

In this video I will show how ten famous dynamic microphones capture the sound of an acoustic upright bass. All mics were recorded in the same position, the bass was on a stand, so it did not move around. There is absolutely no EQ, no compression, nothing. The mics were plugged straight into an RME Fireface UFX interface.

The test is meant to be a blindfold test. Every mic gets a number so you are not influenced by the name of the mic in your evaluation.
