Why Photoshop’s Sharpen Filter DOESN'T Actually SHARPEN Your Images

To understand this better, we have to understand how image quality and resolution and how it relates to the apparent sharpness of an image. But simply increasing the resolution of an image doesn’t automatically result in sharper images.

So how can we use Photoshop’s sharpening filters to create the appearance of sharper images?

I find the most effective ways to do this is to use local and global contrast adjustments, and I also show you my process for doing this.
