Growing up in a Pentecostal church, TJ knew about God yet never experienced Him personally — until an affliction with OCD brought him to his knees. TJ experienced the saving grace of Jesus Christ and soon discovered that He not only gave us salvation and eternal life through his sacrifice on the cross, but by his stripes we are healed.

At 14 years old, his parents let him decide whether or not he wanted to continue attending church. And he chose not to. That’s when his life took a drastic turn.

TJ’s anxiety became full-blown obsessive-compulsive disorder, tormenting him with intrusive thoughts of illness and death that made everyday tasks feel impossible. When he tried to fight it or cope with alcohol and drugs, it only got worse.

At his lowest point, in the midst of a debilitating panic attack and utterly hopeless, he prayed 3 simple words: “Jesus, save me.”

He knew immediately something had lifted. And his salvation began to bear fruit in his life, though he was still struggling with OCD. A few months later, listening to an evangelist’s livestream on his couch, TJ had an electrifying encounter with the truth of God’s word that finally set him free from his 8-year affliction.

In a vision of Christ at the cross, he understood the reality of the redemption and received the faith he needed to walk in it.

A full-time evangelist with his wife Kerry since 2016, he continues to witness God set countless people free from the bondage of sin and sickness through his ministry “Salvation Now.”
